We've made some updates to student home page to help visualize learning. You'll now see your learning activity graph, which visualises learning activities throughout the year. Days are highlighted based on the amount of activity on the platform.

We've added the Mindforge card to the student home page and provided a way to update it over time.

Pathways sharing and collaboration

Educators can now manage pathways more effectively with new collaboration features, access control, and more. This update allows educators to share pathways with colleagues, assign roles, control visibility settings, and duplicate or archive pathways to streamline content management.

Choose your AI model 🤖

We've added a new feature that allows educators to select the underlying Large Language Model (LLM) that's used in chat conversations. At launch, we're supporting the following models:

• OpenAI GPT-4o
• Google Gemini 2.5 Pro
• Anthropic Claude 4 Sonnet

Email Verification ✉️

Users now receive email confirmation instructions upon sign-up, ensuring a verified and secure account setup. This update streamlines the onboarding process and enhances account security by requiring email verification before accessing certain features.

Instant Feedback on Lessons ⚡

We've enhanced our lesson feedback options! Now, you can decide exactly when students receive feedback and marks: instantly as they answer questions, immediately upon lesson submission, or manually returning at a time of your choosing.

Image capture on desktop devices 📸

Free response questions in Pathways now support image capture on desktop devices by using the front-facing camera. This is useful for taking pictures of written documents.

Updated moderation policies 🦺

We've upgraded our moderation system to give organizations more control, accuracy, and transparency in how moderation is applied across their classrooms. Read more about the changes.

Pathways student notifications 🔔

We're now emailing students a reminder if they haven't started a lesson in a Pathway that's due within the next two days.

Mark allocations for Pathway questions ☑️

Students will now see the mark allocation for each question in a Pathway. This is useful to help gauge how much time students should spend on each question.

Tutor image generation 🌇

We've added a fun new feature that allows educators to generate great looking images for their tutors! Simply prompt your tutor like you normally would and we'll generate you an image based on your prompt. You can always regenerate the image to get a different one, or upload your own image.

User interface revamp 🎨

We've revamped Mindjoy's user interface to be more consistent, user-friendly and dare we say... beautiful! You'll notice a new look and feel across the platform, with a refreshed sidebar and breadcrumb navigation, updated font, colour palette and an optional dark mode.

AI Assisted Lesson Generator 📒

With a simple file upload, educators can transform materials into rich, ready-to-teach lessons—complete with curated text, auto-marked questions, and supporting images—making lesson planning effortless.

Research classrooms 🧑‍🏫

We've added a new feature that allows organizations to create classrooms specifically for research purposes. These classrooms enable students to join a speific research initiative and provide informed consent to participate and share their data.

New Educator Onboarding Experience 🛫

We've improved the educator onboarding experience to better explain the platform and help you get started. For new educators signing up, we'll now suggest relevant organizations that you can request to join. We've also added a new "Create a classroom" step, allowing you to set up your first classroom and start inviting students right away. Lastly, we've added a "Get started" page to explain the steps needed to get going as well as provide links to helpful resources.

Classrooms view for Students 🌁

Students can now view the classrooms they are enrolled in. This includes a list of classrooms and details about each classroom, including the pathways and tutors assigned to them.

Knowledge base improvements 📚

We've made a large improvement behind the scenes to the knowledge base feature. Tutors with the knowledge base enabled will now have better recall and retrieval of information uploaded to the knowledge base.

Automarking Improvements

Improved Automarking stability. When questions fail to automark, the issues are now surfaced on the frontend, allowing teachers to manually mark them. We've also added student progress tracking, showing where they are within automarked assignments.

PDF Document Uploads in Automarking 📄

Support PDF document uploads in automarked responses in Pathways, enabling educators to accept documents in free response questions alongside images and text.

Pathway start and due dates ⏰

Educators can now set start and due dates for pathways. This creates a submission window during which students can submit their work.

• Students see a countdown timer showing how much time remains
• Submissions are only accepted between the start and due dates
• Pathways are not accessible before the start date

Export Pathway marks as a CSV file 📄

Educators can now export pathway marks as a CSV file. This makes it easy to import the marks into spreadsheet programs like Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.

Improved student onboarding 🧑‍🎓

Student onboarding has been improved to provide more context, guidance and fun for students joining the platform.

Multiple tutor chats for students 🧑‍🏫

Students can now create multiple chat threads per tutor. This allows students to organize their conversations better, create new threads for different topics, and more.

Multiple Workspaces 🏛️

For specific organizations that need it, Mindjoy now enables using the same account to access multiple workspaces. This means you can be an educator in one workspace and a student in another using the same email address to sign in.

Courses is now Pathways 💡

Learning isn't just about completing a set of lessons, it's about making meaningful progress, finding flow, and mastering concepts in a way that feels natural. The word Courses suggests something linear and rigid, but real learning is dynamic, iterative, and personal. Pathways better reflects this kind of learning journey. Pathways are designed to guide students, not just through content, but toward deeper understanding and self-direction. Pathways (even less traveled ones) allow for exploration, time for detours and rabbit holes, direction for those who want to pick up the pace and new building blocks to build new kinds of learning maps that make learning more engaging. In the future, we're looking forward to making them collaborative. For now though, with Mindjoy's AI-first pathways, educators and students gain more flexibility, support, and insights to make meaningful learning progress. It's more than just a name change: it's a shift in how we think about learning. We can't wait to see the amazing learning pathways you'll create.

Lesson resubmission ↪️

Educators can now enable students to resubmit their work for a particular lesson. This is useful for when you'd like students to revise their initial attempt at the lesson, or provide a different response to questions.

Make a copy of your own tutors 📝

Educators can now make a copy of tutors that they own. This is useful for when you'd like make changes to an existing tutor, but still want to keep the original version.

Updated classroom capabilities 🔧

Minor improvements to the classroom experience including:

• Educators can now remove students from their classrooms
• We've updated permissions so that only admins can archive student accounts

Organization students list 🧑‍🎓

Administrators can now view a list of all the students within the organization. This includes students who have been archived as well as those who are currently active. Admins can:

• View a list of all students
• Search for a specific student by name or email
• Archive or unarchive a student

Archive educator accounts 🧑‍🏫

Administrators can now archive educator accounts. Archived accounts will no longer be able to access the platform through the organization.

Classroom collaborators 👥

Educators can add collaborators to their classrooms to help manage assigned work, invite students and manage the classroom.

Archive classrooms 🧑‍🏫

Educators can archive classrooms to help organize their data. Archiving a classroom will remove it from the active list of classrooms, and will automatically close any open tutor sessions or assigned courses.

Organization join code/link 🔗

In addition to invititions sent via email, educators can now share a join link with their colleagues to join an existing organization. This includes an option to regenerate the link if needed.

Preview Auto marking for Free Response Questions 🤖

Educators can now test their mark scheme with the auto-marking feature, see what kind of feedback students will be getting, and tweak the mark scheme as needed.

Classroom navigation changes 🧑‍🎓

Student activity (submissions, chats, insights etc.) now live within classrooms. There have also been a number of smaller tweaks as a part of this change including empty state screens, improvements to tutor sharing and generally better navigation within the app.

Educator email invitation UX 📧

Improved UX (inspired by Google Classroom) that handles more email formats and clearly displays errors.

• Show emails as chips once added
• Add new emails while typing
• Handle emails separated with commas, semi-colons and spaces (or a mix!)
• Clearly indicate which emails have an error associated and make it easy to remove them with a click

Drag-n-drop images in the editor

You can now drag-n-drop images when editing course content. We've also made some other minor improvements, such as the location of toolbar, height fixes, added a loading spinner and more.

Educators can now upload images directly when creating content on the platform. The image upload is available for all block types using the editor.

Courses 📚

Introducing Courses, a new module designed to enhance STEM learning with three key features:

• Interactive lessons: Create interactive lessons with dedicated AI tutors aligned to your course content
• Smart Assessment & Instant Feedback: AI auto-marking with detailed feedback based on custom mark schemes
• Learning Insights: Data-driven teaching with class-wide and individual student progress tracking

Educators can now upload coursework, pair it with custom AI tutors, set up auto-marked assessments, and monitor student progress through detailed insights.

Automarking with images 🌠

Students can now upload images when responding to a free response question and this will be used in the automarking workflow. This also includes changes to our editor – you'll see that all usages of the editor look the same and the "actions" are consistently displayed at the bottom (toggle toolbar, upload photo, record audio etc.).

Table support in the editor ⌨️

We've enabled table support in the new text editor! You can now paste HTML tables directly into the editor.

When you focus on a table, a new bubble menu appears with several options:
